Our Story…

Welcome to Beggin’ for BBQ! We are excited to share our story here and hope to share some excellent food with you in the future! Thanks for visiting our website!

Our story includes a few unexpected twists and turns, and we like it that way! Beggin’ for BBQ came into vision when “Q” – a.k.a. Quentin, started preparing and sharing new recipes and methods of smoking meats. Q loves to cook and is very good at it - Lonnie gets to benefit from his cooking but also gets stuck doing the dishes!

After sharing the dream of owning a food truck someday and some delicious food with the staff at our automotive repair shop - a seed had been planted! The year came and went, and the world changed as we worked, watched and waited…before we knew it, an opportunity presented itself and a fully functioning food trailer, specializing in BBQ was available in our vicinity! We went to look at it and took the plunge!

We brought it home just before the winter months began and learned how much fun smoking in subzero weather can be – we also enjoyed some delightful food throughout the winter months! With each smoking adventure we laughed as our golden retrievers-Marley and Milo- hung out close to the smoker and kept an eye out for anything that might be dropped or offered!

When the time came to establish a business name Beggin’ for BBQ seemed perfect and using the family pups as inspiration for the logo seemed only right!

We opened in July of 2024 and started a new adventure and as they say, the rest is history in the making…

We are proud to support local businesses and prefer using locally produced meats and products! We know that as we support each other, we ensure that all will succeed!
